Over 4 days, the UK Press Complaints Commission has received a record 21,000 complaints after a column in the Daily Mail by Jan Moir.

A column in the UK Daily Mail on Friday featuring late Boyzone singer, Stephen Gately, has received 21,000 complaints to the Press Complaints Commission. The column, by Jan Moir, created anger on the internet via Twitter that Moir made harsh comments against Gately saying that "Whatever the cause of death is, it is not, by any yardstick, a natural one." and expressing that his sexuality was a cause to his death.

The Press Complaints Commission is launching an investigation regarding the column although the Gately family have made no formal complaints yet.

New Evidence against the parents of the balloon boy

By John-Paul Dickie

Today,
Colorado police say that they have evidence against the parents of the balloon boy, Falcon Heener. His two parents Richard and Mayumi Heene have always said that it was not a stunt but today Colorado police have found new evidence against the parents. Colorado police Sheriff Jim Alderden said: "They put on a very good show for us, and we bought it."

The Sheriff also added that the helium balloon would not have been able to carry the weight of six-year-old Falcon Heener. The police will recommend that Richard Heene and his wife, Mayumi, will face charges including conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and false reporting to the authorities.

US news networks covered the story on Thursday for hours when the boy was reported to be in a balloon flying over Colorado.
